  2. so if have clicking at certain point and pain after exercising doing squats or leg exercises is there a cure or healing process for the meniscus? is the meniscus permanently damaged? or will rest and hip exercises get the patella tracking properly again and rest get meniscus healed?

  4. I had an incident during one of my crossfit workouts where we had to do a squat clean thruster at 115lb. I was on my 5 set of three when I felt a pop on my knee cap as I rose up I felt a flush sensation on my cap. I'm going to the orthapedic doctor on Monday but I wanted to see if y'all could give me a heads up on what to expect.

  6. My knee randomly swelled up and started hurting after I noticed a sharp pain when flexing my quad. The pain went away when my leg was relaxed and I was able to move and walk around fine. I didn't have any trauma or injury or sudden pop. The next morning I had pain and swelling to the lateral portion of my knee. There's also a grinding feeling to the outside of my knee if I bend my knee past 90 degrees. It feels like something shifting over a bone on the side. After watching this video I don't think it's my meniscus and I'm also not confident it's my IT band. Any suggestions of what other ligaments/tendons it may be so I can look into it more? I'm desperate to figure out what it is!

  9. Just the thought of doing any of these makes me hurt. I've felt like my knee pops out of place a lot. It hurts, I can't walk on it right and it feels stuck. Usually if I keep moving it while siting it will go back into place. I'm not sure what it is that is catching like that but the last time this happened, about 2 weeks ago, I had swelling after and haven't been able to use it much since. The pain is awful at night when I lay down. I've had an x-ray with no break or dislocation. I'm in a brace and have crutches. Wondering when the pain will subside. My PCP is referring me to a physical therapist but do I need a Orthopedic prior or do PT do imaging there? You guys are funny though. Enjoyed the banter.

  10. I was playing a football match yesterday and i got a tackle off another player. my knee is swollen and all around it. i thought it was a dead leg so i tried to run it off but then i felt something pop in my knee. I'm finding it hard to bend my knee as well. How will i heal it?

  11. OMG! When you did the "bounce down", I almost threw up! I've had so many hyper extended knees over the past 30 years I felt pain as I saw that knee of yours lock!!!!
    I had an orthopedic surgeon tell me I have a torn meniscus in my left knee because I mentioned I have pain at the back of my left knee when I'm using my right foot to "scrape" my left shoe off without untying it. He finished his diagnosis by having me sit in a chair, calf 90 degrees to thigh, and then he pulled forward (towards him) on the back of my calf. The pain was excruciating. Where would that test fit into yours, or it is #6? 🙂

  12. I have been suffering from a sharp pinching pain in my right outside part of my right knee, particularly in the bottom of a squat or coming up from a kneeling position. MRI showed no sign of a torn meniscus but a slightly stretched ACL and my knee cap not tracking in line. The specialist said it would heal on it's own with no lasting damage. Pain still here and it's been months now. Possible they missed something on the MRI? or something else? any advice would be really appreciated.

  13. I got injured while playing baseball, and when I got up to walk it off I felt a pop in my knee, then felt it pop again when u was getting off the bus. Do you know what it could be?

  14. Let's say you do have a meniscus injury. Will doing these tests make it worse? That's what I'm afraid of.

  15. My results on each test was negative except for the figure 4 test. Do I have a meniscus tear?

  16. Doc wants me to take an MRI. Had me walk across the room on tip toes- had no problem doing so. Then had me walking across the room with my toes lifted, I did that just fine. Right knee pops when bicycling. It's gotten bad so I can no longer bike, but I seem to be running just fine. He's wondering if its a meniscus tear but we won't know til the MRI. Is there a reason why it kills me when I am biking?? and not so much on other activities? Great video, thanks!
